Do you want to disable spawn protection on your server? This is the guide for you! You may need to disable spawn protection if your server is anarchy and you want players to be able to destroy everything. It is a very simple setup, as all that needs to be done is a few changes in server.properties. Lets get started!
Completing the changes
- Log into the server control panel
- Click manage on the server you want to manage
- Under the Management tab, go to File Manager
- Locate and click on the server.properties file.
- See below for the setting you need to either locate and change or add!
This setting may be in your server.properties file already! It will default to a value of 20 if it is already in your settings. Please review the below!

You will be able to bypass the spawn protection if your account is “op”. If you are the owner of the server, you can run the op <playername> in the console to give your account op. Please note, if you set this to 0, it will allow ANY player to destroy spawn!
