Mythic Mobs is an amazing plugin that has been used by hundreds of servers that want unique mobs without having to use Forge mods. I will be going over how to install the plugin, as well as the basics of using it! Lets get started!
Installing the plugin
Mythic Mobs has a very simple installation, just like any other plugin. Lets get started below!
- Download the Plugin here.
- Navigate to the Oddblox Control Panel.
- Click Manage on the server you want to install the plugin to.
- Under the Management Tab, click File Manager
- Find the
/plugins folder.
- Upload the plugin
- Restart the server.
Using the plugin
Mythic Mobs uses the /mythicmobs or /mm command to control every aspect of the plugin, from spawning mobs and items to mob management. For example, if you wanted to kill a specific mob, you would use the /mm mobs kill NAME command. They have a wiki full of documentation, that will be provided below, with the other links.
Mobs can be purchased or bought from multiple stores, though, you will want to make sure they are compatible with Mythic Mobs! Not all of them are, so be on the lookout for that. MM will allow you to create all sorts of mobs, from basic monsters that come out at night to horrible bosses that must be taken down with a team. You can even go all out with the AI to create a super hard to beat monster. Your imagination is the only limit here!
The plugin can also be used with a bunch of different addons that add new features, or add new game mechanics. An example of one of these addons would be the MythicDungeons plugin, which allows you to create unique dungeons full of your custom entities!
The creators of Mythic Mobs have also published an additional Plugin called Model Engine, which allows for even wilder model creation!
