Have you ever been trapped paying a subscription fee that you meant to cancel but forgot to? Or even worse, found out your credit card information was stolen for an internet buying spree? Reacting by reporting it as fraud over the phone with your bank is fairly standard. This results in a “chargeback,” where your bank, after confirming the transaction, requests that the company repay the money.
Being an online business, Oddblox has experienced its fair share of chargeback situations. Sometimes, once our return window of 14 days has passed, there is buyer’s regret or a change of heart. The problem is that choosing to file a chargeback rather than contacting us can have a negative effect on our company. It also results in a permanent ban from using our services. We take chargebacks very seriously and as such, have implemented a Zero Tolerance policy on them.
As per the specifics included in Section 12.2 of our Terms of Service, the account of any individual who initiates a chargeback will be suspended immediately. You will also lose access to all of your files and services immediately. Furthermore, none of that data can be recovered with the assistance of our support staff. In addition, if you ever desire to return, you will have to pay the chargeback amount plus a $20 reinstatement fee.
Here at Oddblox, we’re all about keeping things fair and simple, and we hope this clarifies how chargebacks impact not only us but also you, our esteemed customers.
