Adding new subusers to your Plesk account is super easy. You will be able to add them in, and control exactly what they can control. This is especially useful if you are a company, and you want to control what your members of staff will have access to.
Roles
By default, you will have 4 roles, 2 of them being useless right off the bat. These will need to be configured. Lets cover the roles that actually give people access to Plesk, and how to access the menu. Check below!
Finding the Users Menu:
Going to the User Roles tab:
Creating new roles
Once you are in the User Roles Menu, click the Create User Role button. This will open up a UI, where you can give the role a name, and select from a bunch of different permissions that the account should have.
Existing Role: Owner
This role is allowed to do anything and everything on the account. You can add other users and roles to the account with this type of account.
Existing Role: WebMaster
This role is allowed to do anything and everything EXCEPT add new users.
Adding new users
Under the User Accounts menu, you will see a big blue button that says “Create User Account”. This will bring up a menu that will allow you to make a new user. You will need the following information to make a new account:
- Contact name
- Email Address
- User Role
- Access to subscriptions (Domains)
- Username
- Password
